PlusTV, officially Digi TV Plus Oy, has been Finnish paytv operator for antenna households since 2006 and has today appr. 220 000 subscribers which means that 35% of all finnish households subscribing paytv services, have a PlusTV paytv subscription.
DNA Ltd and Teracom Group agreed on DNA’s acquisition of PlusTV on 29 April 2013. On 29 August 2013, the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved the acquisition, thus, in accordance with the terms of the transaction, PlusTV shall become DNA’s wholly owned subsidiary in 5th of September 2013.
Previously PlusTV was owned by Nordic mediaoperator Teracom Group that owns and operates digital terrestrial networks with paytv services in Sweden and Denmark.
PlusTV offers currently 20 most popular domestic and international paytv channels. In DTT network the MTV paytv-channels MTV Max, MTV Sport 1, MTV Sport 2, MTV Juniori, MTV Leffa, MTV Fakta are exclusively offered by PlusTV. The channel offering of PlusTV is broadcasted in the UHF-network with DVB-T technology. DNA intends to offer both PlusTV and DNA customers better and more extensive antenna network services by combining the antenna TV offerings of both companies as soon as possible. After the acquisition, the popular HD channels delivered through DNA's own VHF antenna network will become available to existing PlusTV customers as well. These channels include Yle HD, MTV3 HD, Nelonen Pro 1 HD and Nelonen Pro 2 HD.
The number of employees working at Pasila office is currently 33.
In 2012 the turnover of the company was 65M€.
